Superior Materials, Inc. took the opportunity to celebrate its 80th birthday as an independent fourth-generation family-owned raw material distributor with a cocktail party at the Downtown Marriott the first evening of this year’s ACS. Close to 200 people, principals and customers of Superior enjoyed food and drink and camaraderie among all those who attended.  

Bruce Schimmel of Superior acted as MC, and sincere and poignant speeches by Matthew Kafka and Steve Kafka, president of Superior, were delivered. The theme revolved around Superior’s independence in a sea of consolidation, with their strong focus on the principals’ brands and their customers’ success. A wonderful time was had by all attendees, and Superior looks forward to celebrating 100 years in business next.
